Joint Stamp Issues

This page collects only issues released during the year 2018, period April to June.

As it is not such obvious as it looks to find this information, this list is probably not yet complete. In certain countries, joint issues are often announced on the day of the issue and sometimes it takes months before this information and the corresponding stamps reach us. Data on missing issues or supplementary information, particularly for countries, which are producing joint issues exceptionally, will be highly appreciated.

Portraits of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, thinker Deendayal Upadhyaya (1916-1968) and Oliver Reginald Tambo (1917-1993). Multicolored.

An agreement between India and South Africa was signed in May 2018 about two independent issues involving both countries, one resulting in the issue of [T20180707] and this one. India issued its stamps after approval on August 9, 2018 (!) and it took about 6 months before South Africa released their stamps. Eventually mixed first day covers with original first day cancellations became available during the Summer 2019 (!) confirming the Twin status of this issue. A stamp honoring Oliver Reginald Tambo had been issued by South Africa in 2003 with exactly the same design.
