New Issues 2012 (January - March)

This page collects only issues released during the year 2012, period January to March. 

As it is not such obvious as it looks to find this information, this list is probably not yet complete. In certain countries, joint issues are often announced on the day of the issue and sometimes it takes months before this information and the corresponding stamps reach us. Data on missing issues or supplementary information, particularly for countries, which are producing joint issues exceptionally, will be highly appreciated.

The two labels (left and right corners of the diamond) showing two portraits of QEII are identical in all souvenir sheets. Also miniature sheet with one stamp on a green background showing the symbols of the Queen and the four flowers representing the four British countries (England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales). Centennial of the gift of Cherry Blossom trees by Japan to the USA (Washington DC). Parallel issue [P1].
Different designs, same topic and view. Washington Monument and Jefferson Memorial with cherry blossoms around the Tidal Basin in two stamps; the two Japanese stamps are embedded in a souvenir sheet containing 8 other stamps showing different cherry blossoms; blossoming cherry tree and eagle in the margin of the Japanese souvenir sheet.
