This page collects only issues released during
the year 2008, period September to December.
As it is not such obvious as it looks to find
this information, this list is probably not yet complete.
In certain countries, joint issues are often announced on
the day of the issue and sometimes it takes months before
this information and the corresponding stamps reach us. Data
on missing issues or supplementary information, particularly
for countries, which are producing joint issues exceptionally,
will be highly appreciated.

Germany - Switzerland
Link between the two countries. Covered wooden bridge linking
Bad Säckingen and Stein/Aargau. Twin issue [T1].
Identical stamps. Picture of the bridge, Europe's longest
covered wooden bridge (200m) built in 1272, rebuilt several
times, present bridge rebuilt during the 19th century.

"Lest we forget": 90th anniversary of the end of
World war I. Omnibus series. Souvenir sheets containing one stamp, souvenir sheets are identical for BIOT, Tristan da Cunha and Virgin Islands. For the three others the stamp is different, but the frame remains identical throughout
the series (Memorial at St Johns, Tynwald Hill). Isle of Man has also issued stamps. Multicolored.

University of the West Indies (UWI) 60th anniversary
(1948-2008). Concerted issue [C1].
One stamp is identical for all involved countries: it represents
the symbol of the 60th anniversary, a rolled diploma and the
coat of arms of the university. Countries have issued between
3 and 5 stamps with different designs and for some of them
also a souvenir sheet. Multicolored.

Relationship - Ramsar convention. Concerted issue [C1].
Similar pair of se-tenant stamps; the design of the stamps
is slightly altered. A, Porphyria porphyria; B, ; central
label shows flags of both countries and word "Ramsar".

Belgium - New Zealand
First World War commemoration (among the 18,500 New Zealand
soldiers who died during WWI, 4,600 are buried in Belgium
cemeteries). Parallel issue [P1].
Different souvenir sheets. The Belgium souvenir sheet contains
three stamps: Menin Door at Ypres, King Albert I statue in
Nieuport, poppy flower symbolizing the Great War; the New
Zealand souvenir sheet contains three se-tenant stamps showing
war scenes (ANZAC, Gallipoli 1915; Western front 1916-1918;
Chalk Kiwi 1919), the sentence "Lest we forget" and poppy
flowers. Multicolored.

Adolf Erik Nordenskiöld (1832-1901), Swedish polar exploratory
1870-1883. Twin issue [T1].
One identical stamp. Finland: two stamps se-tenant in a block:
A, portrait of Adolf Erik Nordenskiöld, B, research vessel
Sofia at Ovifak, Greenland, 1883; Greenland: B and C, Adolf
Erik Nordenskiöld carving a stone. All three designs are viewed
in form of an A,B,C landscape on the miniature sheets, but
only the Greenland souvenir sheet has a perforation around
design A to form a label, while design C in Finnish souvenir
sheet is part of the frame. Grey black and red.

seen in Bongsan mask dance drama (Korea); Big head Buddha
mask seen in the Lion Dance of the Southern area (Hong Kong).

Postal convention. Parallel issue [P1], but in fact
non approved [N]; if SMOM would be recognized by the
UPU, this class of stamps with different cuts that exists
would be identified as [T4]. If separated from each
other they become stamps of type [P1]. Therefore the
present classification will remain [NR/T4]
Identical triangular stamps with triangular label; the label
shows the design of the stamp of the partner country. Stamp
issued at the occasion of the signature of the convention
(June 24, 2008) between the Sovereign Order of Malta and Vatican
